General stuff-
· Use your common sense. If a trade is too good to be true, investigate. Unless you are trading with James P.
· To be even more secure, especially if a person is new here, sell something via eBay.

Tips for sellers
· As a seller, it is generally accepted that you receive the payment for your sale first.
· Always ask for "proof of postage" at your post office when you are sending the package. This is a free receipt that proves that you have posted a package to the address. Should your package get lost in the post, you can also use this to claim back the value of the contents, provided it is low value.
· For higher value products and international trades, I would highly recommend using registered shipping and/or tracking.
· Take decent pictures of what you are selling and include a sign in the pictures with your name/forum name and "FBHQ" on it. This proves you actually have the items and intend to trade on this forum.

Tips for buyers
· If you are trading on this forum, pay attention to the trader's post count, join date, references (on FBHQ but also other sites if you can access them), links to social networking site profiles and if they mention FBHQ on them, forum behaviour.
· Try to pay by Paypal if possible. That way, if someone doesn't send something, you can dispute the transaction, escalate it to a claim and Paypal will review the case and give you your money back.
· Trading within the EU has the benefit of no import taxes.
· Buying from the US if you are in the UK will incur import taxes if the value of the product is too high and there will also be a handling charge on top of this. UK people look here: http://customs.hmrc.gov.uk/channelsPortalWebApp/channelsPortalWebApp.portal?_nfpb=true&_pageLabel=pageTravel_ShowContent&id=HMCE_CL_000014&propertyType=document#P24_2132
· Look to see if the photos have signs with the seller's name and FBHQ on them.

Trades
· Trades are tricky if both people have not many references. I probably wouldn't advise this.
· Usually, the person with the least references trading first would be a good idea.
· Sending at the same time would be OK if both people are known to be legitimate traders.
· Don't trade with Sid aka Vicious274
